As I grow older I truly can see the best things in life are free.

Lately Ive been upset that I have no idea how Christmas will happen in our house.
Christmas the part of it where you get a beautiful tree and it has presents under it for your children.
I know Christmas the most important day of the year the day Christ was born thus sealing my eternal life sometimes gets forgotten.
As I set here drinking my cup of hot coffee(decaf of course)I have a view through my den doorway.
Upon setting my eyes down a small hallway into an open space with 30 foot ceilings and a wall as tall with windows making it seem as if there is no wall there at all, I can see the most beautiful snow falling.
I have unlimited views of the sky above so I can set and see snowflakes long before they touch earth for the first time.
Viewing a sight like this makes me see that for me as an adult the best gifts in life are truly free.
Today I have been married to one of the most understanding men I know.
A man that hardly if ever gets mad at me, even when Ive been lazy and he has worked all day and finds himself cooking and doing dishes without complaint.
He got me a card gave me a kiss on the cheek goodbye this morning and drove off into a winter wonderland.
For those of you who dont know I live in a winter paradise.
The scene from my house is something that could be from a great Christmas show or a Thomas Kincaide painting(spelling could be wrong on that one but you get the point) I live outside of a village as they call it not towns up here really its Northern Michigan before entering the UP.
My town as you drive through has the old shops with warm glowing lights on inside and I kid you not as I go to get my mail which up here you can only have a P.O. box as you get out of your car you can smell coffee and cinnamon rolls through the streets.
There is a small bakery on the corner of this one main street town.
So I truly have it lucky four children that while most days I think of hanging them by their ears outside in the cold, I love them without fail.
Someday I hope I can get past my petty wants and my blinded thoughts and just be happy knowing that I have it all if only I seek it out.

Things that kids do!

Taylors birthday is in a few days so she had friends over this weekend.
One girl stayed the entire weekend, and upon having a little to much fun accidentally hurt Taylor.
It seems the no little monkeys jumping on the bed story should be retold to children who are now considered "old enough to know better".
Taylors friends jumped on Taylor while Taylor was laying down thus bringing about pain that could be felt by just one look into those blue eyes.
She couldnt walk, talk or move without screaming and this was the kind that was not put on.
My first thought was broken rib so Kenny took her to Traverse City to the doctor today.
Doctor said bruised possibly hairline facture of the ribs.
The cure two weeks rest and this week off of school plus pain meds.
Im keeping her on Tylenol for now because I dont want the possiblity of getting her hooked on pain meds.
So thats how our day went.............
More to come.
